Can Nanpro Formula Food Be Given To A 4 Month Old?
Question: hi my daughter is 4 months old. I have started formula feed since i need to get back to work. At first the doctor suggested lactogen. I used lactogen for few days abd switched to nabpro as another doc told me nanpro is better than lactogen. Now i have been using nanpro since 5 days. My daughter is passed stools one day and 6 times yesterday. Does this mean she is allergic to nanpro? Should i switch back to lactogen? I used to give only 1 or 2 feeds XXXXXXX in a day but nanpro im giving 2-3 feeds in a day and breastfeeding at the same time. Kindly suggest
Brief Answer:
no need to change
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
There is not much of a difference between the two formula feeds you mentioned.
You can stick to either one.
Usually when you change the formula it takes some time for the gut to get used to it. It doesn't indicate that she is allergic.
You can safely give nan pro.
Stools will normalise soon.

Thanks for the reply doctor. I just noticed some red spots in her stools. Is it normal? Or is it some blood? How many ounces of formula milk can be given to my baby?

check stools
Detailed Answer:
Red spots could indicate blood.
You need to test stools ( complete examination).
Four month old can take upto 180 ml each time two or three times a day plus breastfeeding.
