General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Elevated prolactin levels can potentially affect the effectiveness of HMG and HCG injections in some cases. Prolactin can interfere with the production of estrogen, which is necessary for the development of follicles and ovulation.
However, if you are taking medication to lower your prolactin levels and your doctor is monitoring your hormone levels, the effectiveness of the injections should not be significantly impacted. It's important to continue working closely with your healthcare provider to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
