Can Nexpro L Be Taken While Breastfeeding?
Yes it can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Nexpro L contains levosulpiride 75 mg and esomeprazole 40 mg.
It is indicated when there is some gastro intestinal system problem. Levosulpiride is also useful for increasing prolactin and production of breastmilk.
Very less amount of nexpro l secreted in breastmilk which normally does not cause any problem to infant.
If it is indicated for more than 4 weeks you must be watchful that baby is getting any problem or not. As well as routine check up and opinion of pediatrician should be taken in that case.
And yes any medicine must be taken with written prescription of a doctor. If by chance any side effect occurs treating doctor can help immediately.
Hopr I have answered your query.
Regards and take care.
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
udiliv also can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
How much udiliv excreted in breastmilk that is not known. No specific problem has been found. But any drug should be used with care in lactating mother. If it is going to be used for a month, regular assessment of the baby should be done to prevent any harm.
If your gall bladder problem is not so severe , take low dose or postpone the treatment plan until your baby starts enough weaning.
However ultimately treating doctor is the best judge for using medicines considering risk benefit ratio of using drugs.
All the best .
