Can Promentrium Exacerbate Anxiety?
Question: I'm a 44 yo female and started Promentruim 100mg day 14-28 for the first two months. I found anxiety after stopping med after month 2 so doc told me to take it every night. It's been 20 days and the panic attacks are unrelenting. Ive been on Paxil 10mg and Klonopin .5 prn for 5 years so i'ms prone to anxiety. should I stop the Promentrium?

Are you still on Paxil and klonopin at this time or are they stopped? This is because these drugs are equally used for anxiety and might be uncommon to see you have anxiety/panic of still on these drugs.
Promentrium is not known to cause or exacerbate anxiety from previous studies. If this happens shortly after starting promentrium, it could be the cause. However, tend decision to stop or continue promentrium depends on the exact reasons for which it was prescribed. This decision can be best made by the prescribing doctor. You could also share the reasons for that with me.
In the interim, you may want to use clonazepam for panic attacks. However, this must be validated and a script provided by your prescribing doctor.
