Can Regestrone Be Taken To Terminate Pregnancy?

Question: I missed my periods for 16 days .. will regesterone 5mg tablet will help me in abortion plz let me know? If so how many tablets to be taken?

Regestrone tablet do not helps in abortion.
It is used to to regulate the periods and induce the withdrawal periods.
For termination of pregnancy, medicine like Mifepristone and misoprostol are to be used.
These are to be taken under the guidance of a registered medical practitioner. Firstly pregnancy should be confirmed.

Misoprostol is to be taken 48 hours after taking Mifepristone.
2 tablets of misoprostol are to be taken orally and 2 tablets are to be inserted vaginally at the same time.
