Suffering From Endometriosis, Severe Pain. Regesterone Prescribed. Is It A Safe Medication?
Dear Dr. My wife (33 Years Old) suffering endromatriosis from the beginning. In every month first two days she sufferer tremendous paining. Local Dr. suggest to take regestrone tablet and continue upto 45 years for close the period.Please clarify it is safe or not. And how she could relief from this paining.

Endometriosis is a disease which causes dysmenorrhea that is painful menstruation.Regestrone contains,norethisterone a progesterone hormone.it is used for contraception,normalizing the menstrual cycle and for dysmenorrhea.Registrone is safe to use for dysmenorrhea.However using it for dysmenorrhea for 12 years is not recommended. Other ways for treatment of endometriosis are also available. I would suggest you to consult a gynaecologist who may be able to treat your wife.
