Can STD Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?
Question: Hi, almost two days ago my boyfriend and I were dry humping and he had his boxers on and I had my underwear on. I felt him cum but not sure if it got through my underwear or made contact with my underwear, when I got off of him I noticed there was some semen on my inner thigh. I recently went to the Gyn, before the incident occurred, as I had had a yeast infection, and they said my yeast Infection was gone. I was. Also tested for std's a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend and I have been sexually active for two years and we use a condom every time and I am in the pill. Am concerned after this incident because for the last day and a half I feel like my yeast Infection, or a slight vaginal infection has come back. I do tend to get recurrent yeast, especially before my period, so could this be it? Are the chances of an std low? I am going to the doctor friday but am freaking out, help!!! Not sure if any of the semen leaked through his boxers to my underwear and leaked through my underwear. Are chances of std from this low?

Hi,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Before giving my opinion about it, I would like to ask a few questions from you.
What is your boyfriend STD status means when he did his STD testing and what was the result?
Are you diabetic or not?
How frequently you are having yeast infection?
Are you on combined oral contraceptive pills?
For how long you are suffering from yeast infection?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards

My boyfriend hasn't been tested in years. He said he was tested 2-3 years ago after the last time he had unprotected sex and was negative and since then he has only had sex that was protected with a condom, since he was tested for std's and came back fine.
I have been tested for diabetes and it was negative. I am on Junel 20 mg's for birth control daily. Believe it is a combined pill. They said the yeast could be from the pill or spores living on my underwear, as I have enough labyocgllos in my discharge. Had about two or three yeast infections in the last couple of months. Prior to this I was getting frequent bacterial vaginosis infections. Those seem to have been replaced, for now, by yeast. I used to get uti's too but those went away. I have pelvis hypertonicity, a condition which the pelvic muscles tense up causing pelvic pain and sometimes pain during sex.
What do you think my odds are of contracting an std via the way I described?

The chances of STD are quite low.

Hello dear,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Thanks for the delay.
In my opinion yeast infection can be due to side effect of oral pills.
For that you can take oral antifungal medication after doctor consultation and vaginal tablet, maintain proper vaginal hygiene, consume low carbohydrate and high protein diet and curd in diet.
The chances of STD are low in your case because other symptoms are not present.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to a doctor tomorrow to put my mind at ease. I have burning during urination, but that happens when I don't drink enough water, or have a yeast infection or even with my pelvic hypertonicity situation.
I also have slight pelvic cramps but that also happens with my pelvic hypertonicity and my period is due in a couple days, so that could be the cause of the cramps, you know?
The odds of even procuring an std in the way I described are slim to none as there were two layers of under garments between us and even if some semen, because it did get on my inner thigh, leaked through my underwear, the odds of getting an std that way are slim, as there was no skin to skin contact and the risk is much lower If there is no skin to
Skin contact or unprotected sexual intercourse. Am I right?

Hi,
Thanks for the detailed information.
With your history the chances of STD are very low.
Urine burning maybe due to urinary tract infection and you should get your urine routine microscopic to rule out the cause. And this may be completely unrelated to the sexual activity.
Hope found useful.
Good luck.
