Can Telma Cause Erectile Dysfunction?
Question: Hello Doctor,
Good day to you, I have been on Hypertensive medication for the last 14 years, for 10 years I was on Cardace 1.25 mg and then shifted to Losar 25 mg for the last two years, my doctor has currently advised Telma 40 along with Natrilix and vertin ( I have a mild spondilytis problem) in the morning and vertin and stugeron at night. well my question is does Telma cause erectile dysfunction ? since I had some issue with cardace and it got completely corrected taking losartan (wonder drug) plse let me know thanks XXXXXXX

Telma is telmasartan is angiotensin enzyme inhibitor and these medications are safe as far as ED is concerned. Other medicines you are taking may cause ED.
If you have Erectile problem, hypertension , overweight and age related changes including testosterone levels may be the associated causes. Please get a serum testosterone level with SHBG at 8.30 AM to find the cause of ED.

Thanks Doctor, regarding natrilix SR, vertin and stugeron which are giddiness ? or for Hypertension and also if my giddiness is corrected for which I am going to do traction ( is this safe) can I stop these drugs for this problem and take only telma 40 for hypertension. Appreciate the clarification on the same

I think you can taper off all the three drugs slowly. These are supposed to be effective for giddiness ,though I have found anxiety to be the commonest cause of giddiness. You can take Telma 40 only and start on traction. It is safe if done appropriately . Add to it back, neck and upper body exercises. Practice yoga and meditation for treating giddiness and relaxation
