Can Telmisartan Be Taken Instead Of Olmezest?

Question: i am using olmezest 40h from last 5 months ( previously there was no medication) and my blood pressure under control showing below normal even abnormal normal after longwalk in the morning can i continue or reduce dose or change medicine telmisartan 40 as suggested by doctor. By using olmezest i am feeling strain/stiffness in my legs is this due to drug?
Brief Answer:
You can change to telmisartan
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking on HCM.
Olmezest or olmesartan may occasionally cause fatigue, back pain, leg pain cramps or stiffness but it is quite uncommon with the usage of telmisartan.
Also telmisartan is much better to reduce blood pressure and also reduces the cardiovascular events with long term use despite both are same group of drugs.
You can change the tablet to telmisartan rather than reducing the dose of olmesartan.
