Check TSH level;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern.
The dose of levothyroxine is not adjusted based on clinical symptoms but on TSH level.
If the thyroid gland is removed totally, the treatment is longlife and you should not stop taking it.
It is very important to take the correct dose, of course over/ underdosage can cause depression.
Please attach the result of the TSH levels you have had during these years so I can suggest you further about the levothyroxine dose.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
