Question : I have arthritis in my neck 25 years old. I was in a bad dirt bike accident when I was a kid. That is where the arthritis is from. I have been on tramadol for a year prescribed by my family doctot. today I met with specialist and he put me on flexeril. are they ok to take in the same day?
Brief Answer:
Here is some information:
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
Tramadol carries a rare risk of seizures, and many medications, including Flexeril, can increase that risk if taken with Tramadol. This increases especially with use of alcohol, or abrupt withdrawal from alcohol.
Just so you know, Flexeril knocks some people for a loop, so don't plan on driving while taking it until you know how it effects you.
So, if the doctor who prescribed Flexaril was aware that you are already on Tramadol, and if you don't regularly drink a lot of alcohol and can avoid it while you are on the 2 meds, then it is probably ok.
