Can Valtrex Be Taken For Herpes Infection?

Question: "to be answered by dr XXXXXXX Abraham" hey so here is the answers we have been waiting for so my igg was positive and my igm was negitive i went to specialist and she reviewed the blood work and i have been exposed to hsv 2 genital herpes but more less genital herpes asymptomatic viral speeding she said i could have been exposed years ago but to have my boyfriend get tested with blood test so she gave me Valtrex 500mg 1 pill a day for 30 days but yea so hopefully this medicine will stop the burning n ect and she put me on a.new birth controll i told my bf he is going to get tested well my queation is what do we do about sex we agreed no sex until he gets tested so or just use condoms but what is the rules no sex until med is done and like what if i have it and he don't do we always have to use a condom we have already had unprotected sex many times so if we both have it then we just take meds n not worry about it n if he dnt have it what do we do about sex cause i dont wanna give it to him if he dont have it so yea that is what it going on

Yes, the report means some time you were exposed to the virus, you definitely do not have any active infection.
Try the Valtrex.
Have protected sex until the report of his test comes in.
If he does not have it, yes, it is better to always use a condom, as you may give it to him
Just use a condom until his report comes in.

yea hopefully it does help and i can move on from all of this he plans on getting tested probably in the next week or so...so i could have been exposed in the past and never new it right

been on the medicine for two days nothing has changed w the burning and stinging in the vulva area and around the lips and inside of my thighs happen if this donr work then what do i do could this be a whole different problem involving neurological issuses im ao stressed out

but like with the herpes tho the test was positive sr XXXXXXX said i don't have vulvadyneria cause ahe was like pokin me n it didnt hurt lol
