Can Vancomycin HCL Cause Increased Heartburn?
Question: can vancomycin hcl cause increased heartburn? I have been taking oral vancomcin hcl oral solution 2 days for gastrointestinal infection, and I am having increased heartburn and abdominal pain. I only take half a teaspoon 4 times a day .I am anemic and have white cells in my stool,also my white blood cell count is over 25,000. I have a history of bleeding ulcers and pyloric stomach. this has been going on for about 2 to 3 weeks. would it be better to take this medicine with a spoon of apple sauce?
