Can Xetia And Ggarcinia Cambogia Be Taken Togther?

Question: I am 70 years old, weigh 257 and take zetia for high cholesterol. I started taking garcinia cambogia 3 months ago and don't see any change in my weight. I go to the gym daily for an hour to silver sneakers and am trying hard to get healthy. My cholesterol is 193, triglycerides 147 HDL 46 and LDL 118. My FBS is 115. this was done 3 weeks ago. My question is am I safe taking both drugs together. My Dr. was pleased with labs but urged me to lose 10 lbs in the next 6 months.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
In general there is no problem using ZETIA ( EZETIMIBE ) with garcinia but in some cases,it may result in rhabdomylosis and muscle degradation. You may continue using both the products but just keep looking for any muscle pain or liver side effects by getting liver function tests and CPK done every 3-4 months.
For weight loss ,you must rely more on dietary control and regular exercises, since garcinia has not given any result to you in past three months.
Carry on with your medications,as your parameters are almost all right.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
