Brief Answer:
Size of nodule may shrink.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Your findings suggests presence of multiple nodules and 2.1 cm size nodule has calcification within.
It may happen that size of calcified nodule is shrinked,it depends upon nature of nodule and its state.
Multiple nodules may be due to many causes like infection, occupation related etc.
If nodules are in healing stage and there are plenty of fibers then its size may shrink during healing process.
It is important to know clinical details and nodules are present in which organ.
Please let me know more details.

There are several nodules on each side of the thyroid. An ultrasound was done in February, 2014, as was a biopsy. I was told by the endocrinologist there were pre-cancerous cells on one side (February). I was advised to have the thyroid out. I wanted time to think it through. A second biopsy was done in May. I was told it was a false negative. no need to remove the thyroid. A second ultrasound was done after the first (14 months later, May 2015). Seeming results said the measured nodules had shrunken. I feel the various doctors are not on the same page.
