Hi,

Based on the history given you seem to be suffering from goiter (enlarged thyroid gland) with hypothyroidism for which your doctor has prescribed thyronorm (the thyroid hormone).

Thyronorm should always be taken on an empty stomach 60 minutes before meals or breakfast. Its common side effects include increased nervousness, tremors, heat intolerance, sweating, palpitation tachycardia and weight loss.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
