Can A Breast Feeding Mother Take Avomine For Motion Sickness?

Question: Can I travel with my Kid to XXXXXXX in flight who will be 1 monthold next 6th Oct.



Please suggest any precaution to be taken during flight Journey. Also my wife only breast feed her. She have flight issue and take avomin before journey. is it safe for baby since she do breast feed

Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

You can travel in flight with your 1 month old baby without any issues.
It is good that your baby is exclusively breast fed and thus you need not to carry bottle or formula.
Just make sure that the baby is suckling(breast feeding) while take off or at time of landing to prevent the air blockage due to the pressure difference.Blocked ear may cause some discomfort that can be avoided well with the breastfeed.
Carry extra diaper for the baby.
Avomine contains promethazine and Short term use of promethazine by lactating mother does not poses any significant effect on the baby.So she can take avomine for the motion sickness.
