What Causes Motion-sickness In A Patient With Stroke?
Question: I had a stroke last October and since then every time i travel in a car i get mition sickness, could this hzve anything to do with my stroke and how can i stop it.
Brief Answer:
It is unlikely to be related to your stroke.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The motion-sickness is less likely to be related to the episode of stroke. However, the answer would also be affected by the exact areas of the brain affected by the stroke. The motion sickness is associated with a hypersensitive vestibulo-cochlear appraratus which lies in our inner ear. Taking Avomine (Promethazine) tablet half an hour before starting the journey should provide relief. Unless the stroke affected this particular region, you can safely assume that this problem is unrelated to your stroke.
