Question: Can a person take L-trytophan or valerian for sleep with Celexa? Also,

Yes tryptophan can be taken along with celexa. There is theoretical risk of serotonin syndrome but practically there is little risk if any.

I do not there is any interaction between diabetes and L tryptophan so it can be taken safely by diabetics.

Thanks for reverting back to me.

Since valerian, celexa and ambien all cause sedation and dizziness as side effect it may result in extreme sedation if used all together. In my view it should be avoided as far as possible.

Celexa should be stopped gradually

Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

Ambien can be stopped in one go but celexa should be stopped in gradual manner. To b precise around 20-25% of celexa can be removed every week thus taking around one month.
