Can A High Lipase Level Of 1181 Cause Blurry Vision?
Question: Can a high lipase level of 1181 cause burry vision
I have been having an acute attack from about three days now and during that time I have been having issues with blurry vision. To the point that I cannot focus and see clearly and I was wondering if it could be cause by the high lipase level. My blood pressure has also been low but I believe that it caused by bed rest due to the pancreatic attack but still wondering about the blurry vision I have never had an issue with blurry vision before but Have had issues of high lipase and amylase quite a bit. Also been bed ridden for 3 months and never had issues with blood pressure or blurry vision.

Brief Answer:
get a fundus( eye exam)
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
High lipase by itself will not cause blurring of vision.
Is the blurring continous and persistant or is ot intermittent.? Do you have complete loss of vision?
Some times in pancreatitis the retina can get affected and cause retinopathy( involvement of the innermost layer of the eyeball)
I would suggest you visit your doctor and get a fundus eye exam to look for retinopathy.
In case the blurry vision occurs during getting up from bed or while standing up from sitting position it could be due to postural fall in blood pressure in which case I would suggested an increase in fluid and salt intake.
Do get back in case of further queries
