Can A Leep Procedure Cause Infertility Issues?
Question: Can LEEP procedure in 2012 be a potential cause of infertilty?ttc for 6 months and doc could not insert catheter in hycosy test. Period pain day1 but then ok
AMH is 26 (good/satisfactory) i have one polycystic ovary (but not pcos) very regular cycle of 34 days. No history of chlamydia.

LEEP can cause slight shortening of cervix and can predispose you for a preterm labor or cervical incompetence. In few cases it can cause cervical scarring and stenosis and thus prevents sperms from entering through cervix.
This can be treated through gentle dilatation of cervix.
It can cause decreased chances of conception due to decreased cervical mucus also. This can be overcome by opting for IUI o that the sperms get past the cervix.

Thank you - that's really helpful! Is dilation of the cervix easy to achieve and is there anything I can take in terms of supplement/diet to help achieve this naturally too at all? I had looked into IUI and wasn't sure if this would only be possible after the cervix had dilated at least slightly! Thanks again for your time
