Can A Plastic Pin Enter The Blood Vessel After Being Swallowed?

Question: Yesterday I asked about the swallowing the plastic pin. I want to know one thing. I read article that Stomach is composed of the 4 layers, and large Blood vessels are located in the 2nd layers. I understand that the wall of Stomach is thick and has a muscle layer. It is very hard to be penetrated by the foreign body. What I want to know is if little sharp foreign body break the blood vessels, is it possible to enter into the blood vessel? I don't know the size of the Blood vessel in the Stomach, Or is it impossible to enter into the blood vessel. (because of the blood pressure?) Sorry to ask again. Now I know that the diameter of blood vessel is too small, that it is impossible to get into... Now. I have one thing to know. If little sharp plastic one stuck in first layer (Mucosa), is it going to the 2nd or 3rd layer, or it remand 1st layer or it is getting out from 1 layer... And 1st layer of Stomach is enough sofe to penetrate easily?

Brief Answer: Hi Detailed Answer: You can ask whatever you want. I ll try to make it clear for you. I see that you were studying anatomy and histology... stomach mucosa 1st layer is composed of epitel and very small capillaries and its function is to secrete acid,certain proteins, enzymes and certain fluid absorption, So fluids, some posions,alcohol etc can be adsorbed through stomach wall but some items and foreign bodies practically cant. These vessels are so small even in 2nd layer that such big foreign body cant travel into blood stream. This is simply not possible. What can happen,is that this plastic is dissolved and some polystirens or polyetilens may be adsorbed. but this would be negligible amount. Also, this pin could do some minor damage similar to scratches on stomach mucosa but it also wouldnt have clinical significance. It cant travel through stomach wall just like that. peristalsis pushes stomach content to small intestines. So even if it get stucked in stomach mucosa,it will be pushed down soon after acid soften this plastic pin. We can compare stomach mucosa to our skin. YOu cant push some item through your skin without significant force,so the same happens in stomach.
