Can A Scar Tissue Form Into A Lymph Node Structure?
Question: What can cause scar tissue to form in a lymph node? If I have a 0.5cm scar tissue structure in my lymph node, how long should it take the body to absorb it?
No biopsy, they did an ultrasound
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
Caseous necrosis on in a lymph node structure indicates chronic granulomatous disorder such as sarcoidosis or tuberculosis. An excisional biopsy should be considered if there is clinical suspicion and ultrasound is also not conclusiv as it will satisfactorilyrule out a malignant disorder as well. Scar tissue alone is a non specific term. Histopathology of the tissue specimen would give more information.
