Brief Answer:
Not directly related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

There is no study which indicates that either alcohol or tobacco chewing would reduce the thyroid hormone or testosterone levels.

But for sure they do aggravate the symptom caused by the above hormone deficiencies. Exaggeration of the symptoms is attributed to multi-factorial derangement caused by alcohol and tobacco. Hence, stopping tobacco and alcohol would surely be beneficial.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

No, reducing tobacco or alcohol may not affect the dosage of Tab Thyrox. It may instead reduce the symptoms caused by hypothyroidism.

Wish you good health.
