Can An STD Be Contracted By A Bisexual Male With Multiple Partners?
Question: I am 57 bisexual male but have been in a monogamous marriage for 25 years. Prior to that have had protected intercourse. We have decided to have and open marriage and my partners will be men. I know HPV vaccine is recommended by CDC only in men less than 26 but is given to men in high risk groups in other countries over the age of 40. Should I get HPV vaccination?guru
Brief Answer:
I suggest to take gardasil
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the query This is a difficult one to answer CDC has not recommended this over 26 years of age and cancer of anus or penis is commoner in younger people but I think you should get This because
1- You have chosen to be predominantly male to male sex now onwards
2- chances of other STD transmission are more In such persons with multiple male partners
3- immunity is reduced with ageing
My personal view is to take the vaccine as it gives you protection against penile cancer
