Brief Answer:
could be

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

Yes anal abscess may cause prostitis symptoms and also wbc in semen. If the abscess has reached higher up inside near prostate and urethra the above symptoms may be seen.

According to your history I conclude that you have an anal abscess on which antibiotics are not acting. For that surgical drainage is needed. Here opening is done and pus removed. Usually anal abscess need drainage and antibiotics and sitz bath . Only antibiotics won't be affective.

Since from long you are on antibiotics your all culture reports are coming no growth. I suggest you to consult your surgeon and get the abscess drained.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Thank you.... To clarify the abcess is an inch outside the rectum on the butt..... Is there anything I should get done like an mri or ct to see if this abcess is connecting with anything else?

Brief Answer:
mri will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Usually anal abscess appear small out side but extend inside because of fat in that area. To know the exact extent of the abscess you may get mri done of the area. It will tell how deep the abscess is and to some extent the nature of pus.

But usually when only anal abscess is suspected without fistula mri is not indicated. Straightly drainage done if antibiotic is not working.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
