Question: Hello doctor

I was treated penicillinfor 3 weeks 2.4 m on my buttocks Nov 28 Dec 8 and Dec 13.since we are trying for 2nd child doctor told us to go thru natural process this month hence I had intercouse on Dec 24 without protection.i hope I was cured and not have transmitted infection.

However I will get the test done next week

3 weeks is enough time for cure, but yes, you would know for sure only after you get the test done.
If you are not cured yet ( if the test still comes positive ), your wife too should get tested.
And yes, ideally you should have unprotected intercourse only after you are 100 % sure that you are cured.

Hello doctor I got tested today RPR came reactive 1:8.before treatment it was 1:16.

Am 100 % sure I contacted the infection on September 26th 2016 and had first symptoms on October 20 th.had sore inside my mouth.

However I was treated for latent for 3 weeks.

Am I still infectious ?

Penicillin did not work ?

Do I need more treatment ?

Get the TPHA test done.
Sometimes penicillin may not work, and you may need more intensive treatment, or prolonged regimens.
