Can Candid-B Cream Be Used Inside Vagina For Yeast Infection?
Candid B cream is for external use only.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
I can understand your concern.
Candid B cream is combination of antifungal drug Clotrimazole & anti inflammatory drug Betamethasone.
It is generally used to treat fungal skin infections associated with inflammation thus it helps to relieve redness, swelling, and itching associated with infection.
For vaginal yeast infections, Candid B can be applied on the OUTSIDE of the vagina to relieve itchiness. If used inside the vagina it can cause irritation, itching, peeling, redness, blistering, swelling, oozing, or severe burning at the site of application.
For yeast infection involving the INSIDE of the vagina, an anti-fungal preparations like Candid (Clotrimazole only) cream can be applied inside the vagina.
However, it should be used alongside vaginal anti-fungal tablets like Candid-V1, -V3, or -V6, or an oral anti-fungal preparation such as Fluconazole.
Hope this answers your query.
Best wishes.
