Can Diabetes Be Controlled With Exercise And Food Regulation?

I advise not to stop medication in your condition
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Sir as you were on medication since six years, the sugar levels were in control. The only need to stop medication would be low sugar frequently. But in your case the sugar levels are around 150. In such case you should not stop medication. Diet and Exercise definitely helps in management.
Now as you have already stopped one drug, just check out sugar levels 2 weeks. If they are in normal levels, then you can stop the drug. To stop or start medication, the only criteria is sugar levels. You cannot stop with out considering them.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir welcome back.
Let me be make it clear to you sir, I have seen the cases before who were on medication since 1-2 years and came to me and when I got their blood sugar levels checked which were too low to normal. Then I slowly reduced the dosage and then stopped the medication along with blood sugar monitoring. They were now on diet and exercise mode of management. What I want to say they can managed on diet on exercise up to some extent.
In your case sir, your blood sugars are slightly higher to normal even when you are on medication, you can definitely try diet and exercise along with medication, and keep monitoring sugar levels. If they come under normal/ below normal you can definitely stop medication and try.
To make it more clear sir, diabetes is because high sugar levels than accepted in the body due to improper insulin mechanism. So, it is initially controlled with diet and exercise. Reduced calories intake and burning of extra calories by exercise.
When this stage is failed, then we start addition of medication which further helps in controlling sugar levels.
So if you want to try you can definitely try now with diet and exercise as much as you can and once the sugar levels are below normal, you can try stopping the drug. If the sugar levels bounce back. you need the medication again.
Hope this guides you sir,
