Spine spurs with nerve compression needs treatment
Detailed Answer:
Respected Ma,am
Hello
Wishing you a speedy recovery .
I have gone through your medical history .
You have ? SPONDYLOTIC CHANGES IN SPINE .
For these changes & nerve compressions causing pain , you need following treatments
1. Continue with some ANALGESICS . YOU CAN TRY SOME PAIN MODIFYING AGENTS like chlordiazepoxide/ amitryptylline / tramadol etc if you are not sensitive to these medications .
2 Continue with REGULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY .
3 Use LOCAL PAINKILLER GELS for symptomatic relief
4 Try taking bed rest as part of therapy .
5 Getting repeated EPIDURAL INJECTIONS is not a good option.
6 Surgical decompression is reserved for those patients who do not respond to these therapies .
Thanx

Thank you for your answer. But you never answered my question, can spurs and epidural calcium deposits cause a pinched nerve.
I had my surgical decompression (laminectomy) and my back is painfree. My surgeon had to remove some bone matters. I am still in physical therapy, to get my left leg strong and pain free.
Why I had ask you this question, is I wanted to see why none of my so called experts, Neurologist, Bone Specialist (I went to see 2 of each specialist) who never
botherd to look at my Xray, MRI and EEG, only read the Radiologist report, who forgot to mentioned that I have pinched nerve.
When I went to see this great Neurosurgeon, he showed my husband and me the
pictures of my xray, and MRI and there was a mass around my spine.
He took the time to study the films. I am grateful to him. Because I could not walk, sit or lay down.
So I am asking you to give me an honest opinion, or had I been told a lie.
I have lost all trust in doctors, because I had suffered since 2009, had to quit my job in 2010 because of all this problems.
I know Doctors are bussy, but it is their calling to try to heal mankind, not just to look at us as another patient who has to many complaints.
I wish computers never should be in the medical field, because some of the Doctors relie on the reports what have been written by a human to much, and not learn to read the xrays and MRIs. Thank you for listening with fresh ears and eyes.
Yours truly XXXXXXX (AND WAITING FOR YOUR RESPONSE)

Hello
Referring to all the descriptions given by you here on this forum ,you suffered with spondylotic changes & nerve compression .
Happy to know that you have been relieved of pain & weakness after a good laminectomy by your neurosurgeon.
I don,t know who are the doctors who have not examined your MRI in detail BUT Mostly all doctors decide about surgery after thorough CLINICAL & RADIOLOGICAL evaluation .
COMPUTERS are not to be blamed ,as through technology we have been able to achieve very good results ,
EVEN in radiology computers help us a lot .
You can send me your MRI IMAGES in JPEG format to me ( if you wish so )
Keep continuing your physiotherapy & advise given by your neurosurgeon
Thanx
