Can High Prolactin Levels Cause False Negative Pregnancy Test?
Question: hi, im a 22 year old girl. Healthy and active, however, I suffer from schizophrenia and i take medication that raised my prolactin levels. I take 5mg of Haloperidol and 1mg of Benztropine. Ive had unprotected sex twice in the same month, and the third time the condom broke. Im not, and never been, on birth control. Ive been experiencing a very light period, I normally have full hemorrhaging during my periods, pulling and tugging on my belly button - severe, nausea, spotting of brownish red discharge, sore tender breasts, etc. Basically some weird symptoms that I never experience before. Does that sound normal? Can high prolactin levels cause a false negative on a pregnancy test? The last time I had sex was last month in July of 2015 before the light period occured. Am I testing too early?
