Can I Have Shelcal And Nexpro While Planning For Pregnancy?

Question: My has doctor prescribed me shelcal ct and nexpro 20. Now I have started planing and is confused about these medicines. Should I continue taking these tablets or should I take something else . I feel pain in my legs if I don't take shelcal ct and gastric problem too. Since few days I have back pain also. Please suggest ..thanks

Hi

I think you can still continue both drugs even if you are planning. However make sure they are properly spaced. Nexpro before breakfast and calcium half an hour before meal. Nexpro is given for a month. So revisit the doctor after that he may revise it.

I also suggest folic acid supplements if you are planning for pregnancy.
