Can I Take 25mg Of Benadryl For Allergic Reaction?
Question: I took a 10 mg zyrtec tablet at 1pm today. I have been having a slight allergic reaction for the past half hour: itchy eyes, itchy tongue. I have an allergy to strawberries and shell fish. I was shopping this morning in the produce section and passed by a display of strawberries. Can I take a 25mg benadryl now? I take 10mg montelukast SOD plus 50mg losartin potassium and 5mg amlodopine to control hypertension daily. Thank you.

I read your question and i understand your concern. Allergy with mere passing by of strawberries is unlikely but if you feel like allergic symptoms as you mentioned there is no harm in taking 25 mg of benadryl . You can take even 50 mg straight away.
