Question: iam wysoline 10 mg since amonth before that i was having 20 mg for two monthes iam 77 year old a diabetic since last 40 years and bypass surgery was done in XXXXXXX 2094 .i have been diagonised ILD .WHAT SHOULD I DO .

Thanks for the query

Taking Wyselone is essential as you have been diagnosed with ILD. However one of the main side effect of taking wyselone is that blood sugars may go up. So I strongly recommend that you monitor your blood sugars more closely, I usually tell my patients to buy a Glucometer and monitor the sugars at home. I ask them to monitor, fasting blood sugar, post prandial and pre dinner blood sugars twice a week. Depending on that your anti diabetic medications should be altered.

Please note that it is preferable to take wysolone in the mornings along with fruit juice and calcium supplements like calcium carbonate 500 mg along with it to prevent osteoporosis
