Brief Answer:
BP medication inadequate

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The B.P is not well controlled. The medication should have included an ACE inhibitor or ARB if there was no contraindication. Amlodipine and thiazide are just not adequate in this B.P control especially if this is accompanied by episodes of hypertensive encephalopathy. Taking into account the recent urgent care admission and inadequate drugs, it would be a risk to travel in this condition. You should discuss the possibility of adding on a third drug with your doctor after which the travel could be allowed.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
