Posted on Wed, 20 Mar 2019
Question: is it possible to have heavy implantation bleeding? that goes on for 4+ days? I'm well aware that it could be my period. the only reason I'm asking is, this bleeding started on cycle days 20 of a 28 day cycle. I know I ovulated on or around cycle day 14. bleeding started as spotting at 6dpo. thoughts?

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It is rare for implantation bleeding to last up to 4 days.

More likely this is an early period.

Just to clarify matters, why not take a pregnancy test after 4-5 days?

Hope I have answered your query.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Yes.

Even a urine pregnancy test would have sufficed.

A blood test is better.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care.
