Can Intake Of Prolia Cause Anxiety?
Hi, Prolia contains Denosumab that can cause problems
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM,
Prolia contains Denosumab that can cause problems in jaws, teeth and gums as you correctly said. It can also cause fall in blood pressure, thigh bone fractures, severe infections, bone and muscle pains, high cholesterol, and severe allergies.
Anxiety, though, does not seem a side effect.
There are oral and nasal formulations of denosumab which may soon be available. They are in the research stage.
Incidentally, Reloxefene can also be used. You can discuss this with your doctor.
Yes, Fosamax or Alendronate is available as 70mg and 40 mg oral form for weekly use. You can also discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this has helped.
Regards
Thank you very much for your reply. I think in view of this we might go back to Fosamax. Or Reoxefene - does that have fewer side effects?
Can Fosamax be taken once a month instead of once a week? (she doesn't like sitting up in bed afterwards!).
Many thanks
Hi, there is no once a month Fosamax.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, there is no once a month Fosamax. And since you are saying your mother is mostly in bed, Raloxefene is also not for her. Yes stick to Fosamax once a week. All the best and regards
