Question: can knots in your trapezoid cause pain when you turn your head, in your shoulder, upper back and up through your neck?also my neck X-ray came back as no curve in my neck, very straight

It feels a bit swollen between my neck and shoulder and hurts when I turn my neck to the right. My hand is ok. I don't know what the knots are can radiate up the right side of my neck in the front and back will it go away? Can knots be cancer?
