Can Magnesium Intake Effect The Results Of Smart Pill Test?
Question: Yes, I have a serious question. 2 days ago I started a smart pill test and everything went well until yesterday when I took a supplement called CALM which I discovered after contained magnesium. The pill came out this morning, 2 days later. I feel awful that I may have made a stupid mistake and affected the test. Do you think it is reasonable to ask my doctor if I can repeat the procedure, just for my peace of mind?
Brief Answer:
Wait for the result
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
What was the quantity of magnesium in the medicine.
It is unlikely that the result was affected by magnesium if it was a part of a multivitamin supplement and was taken more than 24 hours into the test. In that case the test need not be repeated.I would suggest you wait for the results of the test.
Discuss this with your doctor and then take his opinion on whether the test should be repeated.

It was 325 mg of magnesium. Taken about 36 hours after the test began.
Also it was a supplement called CALM. Supposed to help your nerves. Also there was some in my multivitamin.
