How to I get access to that medicine and when should I take it? will it work after 1 or 2 weeks after sex?
Brief Answer:
Access PEP in hospitals.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
welcome back,
1) you can access PEP in any major hospitals with STD (sexually transmitted disease) department.
2) No, the intake of PEP’s is highly effective within three days of potential exposure to halt the multiplication of virus.
3) Not all the exposed persons are HIV positive, I recommend you to do an RT PCR to know the status and follow up as per the results.
I hope this could help you,
