Brief Answer:
You take the water without any problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
You can very safely take a total of 8 to 12 glasses of water per day depending on the atmospheric temperature and your exercise. This amount of water does not decrease the absorption of your medicines.
Do get back to me if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
Will not reduce absorption
Detailed Answer:
You are unnecessarily worried. Plain water doesn't decrease absorption. Milk and other beverages may.
Unless you are drinking too much water to produce diarrhea, there's no need to worry about medicine not being absorbed.
Relax, take your medicines correctly and forget about water.

dear sir, in morning I took four tablets of Akurit 4 and after nearly two hours my urine color was normal but as I brush to clean tooth ,and started cleaning my tongue with tongue cleaner a saliva with color of medicine came out so that means my medicine was not absorbed properly .so can you explain is the urine color is to orange if at all we took TB medicine
Brief Answer:
Discussed below
Detailed Answer:
Don't let your medicine melt in your mouth. This gives the orange color to your saliva.
The medicine after absorption gets fixed to the tissue. Whatever is free in the blood only can give color to the urine. If you drink a lot of water, the urine gets diluted and the color may appear normal. If the urine is concentrated the color will be obvious for longer period.

sir I have taken medicine and after two hours of taking medicine my saliva came out in red color while cleaning my tongue with tongue cleaner so then only thought medicine not absorbed properly hence raised query.then I took some water I have not taken breakfast for extra two hours so after that there will be proper absorption of medicine .and took breakfast after extra two hours.meanwhile in this extra two hours my urine came in yellow color so this means it is due to rimafician only na
Brief Answer:
presence of Rifampicin in the urine and saliva indicates its absorption.
Detailed Answer:
The orange red color of urine is due to the absorbed Rifampicin.
Rifampicin is also excreted in the saliva.
These can only occur after the drug is absorbed from the GI tract.

sir means this saliva which comes in red is also the medicine na ...this doesn't mean that absorption of medicine doesn't took place...but as I took these medicines Akurit 4 in empty stomach then why this colour of urine color was not in red color as it used to be normal everyday
Brief Answer:
explanation follows
Detailed Answer:
The medicine taken is absorbed from the intestine and gets into the blood. The blood takes it to all organs. The salivary gland excretes the medicine in the saliva giving it the color. The kidney excretes it in the urine. The color of the urine will vary depending on the amount of water in it, more when there is less water and vice versa.
I think you should stop worrying. Medicines are being absorbed well and you will be cured of your illness after you have completed the course of treatment.
