Can One Take Tylenol Along With Codeine And Ibuprofen?
Question: I am taking tylenol with codeine for tooth pain. Can I also take ibuprophin?

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ibuprofen is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps etc..
Since you are already on tylenol with codeine, both having synergistic effect on tooth ache with former being a peripherally acting pain killer and latter the centrally acting pain killer, the effectiveness of ibuprofen over those drugs depends upon the reason for tooth ache, If tooth ache is due to an infection or inflammatory process, then you can use ibuprofen, but along with
tab pantoprazole 40 mg to reduce gastritis. If toothache is due to a dental procedure, then usage of ibuprofen won't be very effective.

Tooth will be root canaled due to inflamed nerve. No sign of infection. Since tylenol with codeine acts differently then Ibupriphin and the nerve is inflamed can I take both medications together. The tylenol with codeine is helping but I think some ibuprohin would help get the inflamation down and reduce pain further.
