Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
Patients who are on long term oral steroids can develop secondary infections like fungal infections, infection with bacteria and viruses. This happens due to lowered immunity.
I suggest you to take an oral antufungal e.g terbinafine 250mg tablet(Zimig tablet), once daily for 2 weeks. Topically you may use terbinafine 1% cream(zimig 1% cream), twice daily for 2 weeks.
You may also take a tablet of cetrizine 10mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching. These medicines are available only on prescription.
