Can Steroids In System Be Transferred Through Intercourse?
Question: Hi. I just had unprotected sex last night (I know stupid) with someone doing steroids. Is there any chance they could have transferred into me?

You had an unprotected intercourse last night. Now I suggest you that you could not be investigated quickly. As in case if you had contracted any disease like STD it will take time to cause lesion and be positive in tests. So you must wait for about 6 weeks. After that you can take tests like serology for chlamydia, gonococcus, herpes, etc or PCR for HIV. If the person was on steroids with active disease then it could be possible that you might have contracted the disease. It is also possible that you might not have contracted any disease. But to be on safer side you can get tested. Practice barrier method during sexual practices.

I would like to tell you that you are worrying unnecessarily. The steroids cannot get transferred by unprotected intercourse. So relax and don't worry. They only reduce the sperm count if a couple is trying to have baby. I think this is not related to your case.
