Question: My lmp was 22.08.14. I underwent IUI on 6th September. I am on Gestofit 200 sr twice daily since 8th September. Doctor has asked to continue for 15 days and take a test at home. I am apprehensive whether it is too early to test and can I get a false negative. Also, if it is a false negative, then can stopping Gestofit harm the pregnancy in any way

Hello mam,

Thanks for trusting health care magic.

It is the international protocol to do urine pregnancy test 15 days after rupture of follicle and even in natural conception it will give positive results at 15th day post ovulation.

Stopping gestofit will not harm at all if already pregnant but false negative on urine test (rare possibility to have false negative and carrying pregnancy because delayed conception is not a common issue in IUI patients)

After stopping gestofit in case there is no pregnancy then you will get your periods in 2-5 days.
