After 8 weeks of the last mensuration, my wife done urine test and ultra sound but the result is negative and doctor recommended Gestofit 300 mg tablets of alembic pharmachetical ltd, what it mean. Though test is negative but the mensuration is late for 60 days first time , in fact this is our 1st attempt to have a child planning. Earlier there was a late of mensuration for a maximum period of 12 days.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As your doctor prescribed gestofit i.e. progesterone . This drug is indicated for amenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, miscarriage , progesterone deficiency , contraception . As you mentioned that your wife is not pregnant ( urine test negative with ultrasound report) so your doctor prescribed this drug for amenorrhea ( most potent drug in this type of symptoms). 2nd reason may be miscarriage , however clearly mentioned that there is no pregnancy but treating doctor is right . Sometimes irregular bleeding requires this drug for regular bleeding . In your case there was anemorrhea ( of 12 days late on previous occasion . Hope you have understand all things clearly. Good luck. Dr. HET
