Can Stress Cause Shortness Of Breath?

default
Posted on Sat, 3 Sep 2016
Question: This thread will close soon, if it does, open another.

I do not talk of bronchitis because I have no cough most of the time just in the morning and that is for a minute or so and thats it. No mucus to cough up. so I figure there is no bronchitis.
Emphysema, Air trapping, my pfts show nothing and when I run short of breath I force air out but get little to nothing. I thought when I could not get a breath in that it was air trapping, now i believe it is constricted and inflammed airways. is that assumption correct?
I do not cough like emphy nor do i have mucus. I just have airways that constrict and chest that gets tight and makes breathing harder.
When rescue inhalers seem to not work is that because the stress is causing the issue and not something else. Does the same fall for the Flovent long term to seem to lack effectiveness.
When it nothing seems to open airway, then i get to think its a non reversable or lung disease issue.

Fill me in on inhalers and why it worked for the pft but doesnt seem to now

Brief Answer:
Excessive stress related inflammation is working against the drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your direct query.
It is better nothing today fall in bronchitis a day emphysema controversy as you are not having any of them.
Drugs (inhalers) are not working because of continuous excessive stress in your life.
This is the only possible explanation.
There is clear cut correlation between your stress level add your symptoms. More stress more symptoms, less stress, less symptoms.
This is what I have observed over the time while talking with you.
I might be wrong.

No No. It's early for me to go to bed. I usually sleeps at 12am. So it's still more than 1 hour.

And now I tell you that you should sell your old guitar and buy new one you wished for. Yes, I am telling this.
And I am here not for money. I love to solve people 's problems. And I found this platform worthy for this. So I am doing this.

You are a fine fine man,

Selling the bass could be easy but,...... The one I want is not on sale yet.
I should sell all I want to get rid of, take the money and put it in the market to earn some money until the bass I want comes up for sale. Then take the money and buy.

So I need to reduce stress, but also cut out spicy food and no caffeine per Dr Bhavsar. Such a tough Dr, takes away all my goodies and gives back help and bass guitars.

I assume that the airways when tight do not let air out quickly either do they. Just like coming in, it gets slowed down going out. That would explain some of my airway fun

Yes, your thinking is correct.
More stress, more inflammation of smaller airways so more difficulty in breath in and out.
But don't think too much in this direction.
Just relax your mind and divert your thoughts.
You must be in bed and ready for sleep.
I guess this is your relaxation time. Is it?
Do utilize this time so that you can get sound sleep.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Yes I was sleeping when you replied. But I woke at two. Had panic hormones sending out. Not sure why. Tried to fall asleep. Had to take a Xanax at 4. Fell asleep 5:15 up at 6. That does not make for good night

No, I did not take a xanax last night when I went to bed. not sure this time if it was snoring that woke me. When I woke, I found myself with a full bladder and had to go to the bathroom. That signal your body sends out when i wants the bladder emptied might have done it.

I was in such a hurry to go to bed last night that I forgot to take it. I have it sitting in bedroom, the rest of the meds for night are out in another room i visit before i go to bed. I keep the xanax in the bedroom so i have it if i need it when i waken.
