I went with a doctor and he says i need a surgery, i have been suffering from pain in my laryx for one year now and that was the only thing they found but it is difficult for me to believe that this causes the problem, i do not know if it is infected but it is filled with macrophage material.
Brief Answer:
go as per doctors opinion.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
As you have the pain sensation over a year, it is very much possible that the cyst may be infected recurrently.
Macrophage material itself suggest infection.
You need to take the antibiotics for infection and also fine needle aspiration should be done.
After sending the tissue(aspirate) for examination the antibiotics may be decided.
After recovering from infection you should remove it with the surgery.
The Sistrunk procedure is a safe and successful technique with low complication and recurrence rates.
Hope i helped you.
