Can Whey Protein, Creatine, Multivitamin And Glutamine Powder Be Taken With Acitrom?

Question: Hello sir, I am planning to go to the gym and focus on muscle building, but one year back I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism due to clots in my right leg. So I am currently on Blood thinner that is Acitrom, I take 2 mg per day. I wanted to know that I am planning to take soem supplements for muscle building such as Whey protein, Creatine, Multivitamin, Fish oil caps and Carb powder and also Glutamine powder. Is it safe? Please advise. Thanks and Regards.
Brief Answer:
Acitrom and compatibility with other agents including food supplements.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Whey protein, Creatine & Carb powder are dietary supplements and have no known drug interaction with Acitrom.
Glutamine powder has also no known drug interaction with Acitrom.
Multivitamin preparation, if it contains Vitamin K1 , it will antagonize the effect of oral anticoagulant Acitrom.
Fish OILS might slow blood clotting. Taking fish oils along with medications that also slow clotting e.g. Acitrom might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding.

Thanks for the reply Sir, I am really relieved now with my worries of muscle building. Just a follow up, So should i Stop using acitrom and take fish oil caps? ALso, can i take BCAAs pre workout? Can you please suggest any multivitamin which doesnt have vitamin k.
Brief Answer:
Do not stop using Acitrom
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You should not discontinue Acitrom and replace it with fish oil cap as the effects are not comparable. Please do not stop using it.
The BCAAs - leucine, isoleucine and valine are the essential amino acids in muscle proteins .
Dietary BCAA supplementation has been used clinically and hence no bar in taking it.
Cap Zevit a multivitamin preparation does not contain vitamin K1.
