Brief Answer:
need to asses current health of your spine

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
As i can understand that you were suffering from disc prolapse of L3-L4, 2 years back and now you wish to know about wether doing yoga is advisable or not, do i understand you correctly?

Well, the decision depends upon the kind of yoga you are looking for, the present stability of your spine and the strength of your muscles.
If there are symptoms of back ache of any kind, it is strongly suggested to consult orthopedician before any back exercise activity.

It is advisable to undergo an MRI spine to asses the current status of your spine.
The yoga exercise can be discussed with your treating consultant. Most of the time some sort or formal exercise is advised by doctors for muscle strengthing, however one should be very certain about a proper recovery of back injury.
Secondly, the concerned yoga teacher must be informed about your condition.

I find there should be no absolute contraindication for yoga exercise provided you back is healthy and is in a condition to bear the strain.
Final suggestion-
1) consult and discuss with you treating orthopedician.

welcome for further suggestions.
Regards,
Dr Pankaj
